Codenames — keeping score

Team versus team — who guesses fastest

No point counting, but a clear tracker: tap in per team how many words are still left, and report it right away if the assassin is guessed. The game score keeps running.

How does the score form work?

Codenames has no score to add up, so this sheet is a tracker. You keep track of how many words each team still has on the table: the starting team begins with 9 words by default, the other with 8, and you remove each word as it's guessed. If a team hits the assassin, one tap records it and the win goes straight to the opposition. As soon as a team reaches zero, the game is decided. Team names and the match tally carry over into the next game. Optionally you can switch on a turn timer — not an official rule but a common house rule, so it's off by default.
